Directors of Rosemary Manufacturing Co Roanoke Mills Co and Patterson Mills Co met for their regular meeting with out of town officers including Grant Simmons Alfred Terrell G D Wrightson and Albert C Guthrie E C Parizeau C A Pohlers and Richard Pohlers. After reports they attended a Textile Owls vs Slagle's Lake game and a surprise house warming for Frank C Williams on Roanoke Avenue. Most returned to New York with Terrell staying behind to finish business.

Curtis Stokes Dies at Roanoke Rapids Hospital
Curtis Melvin Stokes three years old, son of Mr and Mrs Henry M Stokes of 630 B Jefferson St, died at Roanoke Rapids Hospital after a short illness. Funeral services were held yesterday conducted by Rev Gordon Price with burial in Tarboro Cemetery. The parents have one other child.

Pentecostal Church of God Buys Roanoke Rapids Building
The Pentecostal Church of God in Roanoke Rapids purchased the former skating rink building on terms. Rev. W. T. Morefield, now pastor, moved his family here. The church plans tent services in hot months and will return to the Tabernacle in fall after a revival adds 50 to 60 members.
