Orchids From England Prized In Siam
Orchids from England travel to Siam in a round trip of hybridized blooms. Sir Hugh Low started orchid nurseries in Crowborough after bringing Malay specimens to England nearly a century ago. Today Stuart Henry Low and W Eileen Low oversee hybrids bred from tropical spemmers, shipped back to producing countries for collectors. Plants range from four to two thousand dollars per specimen.

New Theory On Drunken Driving Sparks Debate
In Champaign Illinois police lieutenant Frank Andrews told judges and prosecutors that a driver who is dead drunk may be safer than one who is high. He argued that a lightly intoxicated driver slows reaction and dulls responsibility, while a thoroughly intoxicated driver often knows he cannot drive and may attempt to drive more carefully.
