The Chocoyotte Country Club was formed last Tuesday in Roanoke Rapids with twenty eight stockholders, electing directors and authorizing land purchase from Roanoke Rapids Land Company. The site, the old Zollicoffer place, spans about three hundred acres toward Chocoyotte creek, with plans for a golf course tennis courts pool and a dining hall.

First National Installs Vault With Time Lock Door
The First National Bank is installing a manganese steel vault and circular door as the most burglar proof system yet, built by Mosler Safe Company at about fifteen thousand dollars. The 80 inch door weighs twenty thousand pounds and faced logistical challenges delivering it. the vault is the only one of its kind in the region and bank officials invite visitors to inspect the new security feature.
