Mr. Frank P. Shields Dies in Scotland Neck
Mr. Frank P. Shields of Scotland Neck died suddenly Friday afternoon likely from heart trouble. A prominent county figure, he served as director of the Thomasville Orphanage Wake Forest College and Meredith College, was a banker and farmer, and active in religious and educational work. Interment followed Sunday at Baptist Cemetery in Scotland Neck with many friends attending.

Tragic Plane Accident Kills Honeoye Falls Man Frank Jobes
Frank Jobes of Honeoye Falls New York was killed by his aeroplane on a Rosemary School landing field Friday at 4 30. Pilot Robt Berthe of Montreal and mechanic Earl Staufferecher of Ackley Town were present. Staufferecher injured, Jobes wife and parents informed. funeral planned, community mourning, church notes, and local events announced.
