Jackson Day Dinner Brings Democrats Together in Halifax Area
Nearly two hundred Democrats from Halifax Northampton Warren and Bertie gathered for the first Jackson Day Dinner hosted by the Young Democratic Club of Halifax County with help from the Democratic Executive Committee. Samuel Jackson Webb, one year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph S. Webb, died yesterday morning at Roanoke Rapids Hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Friday at Williams Funeral Home at 3 PM by Rev. L. I. Stell. Interment in Roanoke Rapids Cemetery. The Webbs reside at the old Burton place on the city edge. The father works for Rosemary Mfg. Co.
