Laurant Demonstrates Magic for Children at Lyceum
Laurant, known as the man of many mysteries, filled the Central School Auditorium with a Lyceum engagement. He tailored much of the program to tricks that appeal to children, and the crowd found him a master magician and highly entertaining.

The Smiths Church ladies held a bazaar at the Davis Garage South Rosemary with cafe style decor and plenty of hand work and baked goods. Youth classes held contests and ice cream social Monday evening. A Powelltown aeronaut landed in Powell’s pasture prompting local flights. South Rosemary School plans in lieu of a tree a Christmas program at Smith’s Church with stories carols and dramatizations at two o’clock followed by an address by Attorney Knight of Weldon.

Mr. Tumpsy Riggan brought his engine to the school haus and sawed wood for the school on Tuesday December 6. The Hollister Teachers made a flying trip to Aurelian Springs Sunday. Rev. B B Slaughter the new pastor of Tabor filled his appointments at Tabor and Ebenezer. His wife and infant daughter will arrive soon. Rev R W Bailey and family have moved to Raleigh. We are sorry to see them leave. Mr. Roger Crawley was a guest of Aurban Springs Sunday PM. Miss Mattie Cooke lost a valuable dog Saturday and finder will be amply awarded. Miss Bula Glasgow has returned after a short illness.
