Roanoke Rapids Scouts Cabin Dedication Highlighted by NYA Work
The Roanoke Rapids Girls Scout Cabin was inaugurated today with NYA completing the project. Photos show J A Lang with local Girl Scout boosters and hunters from Roanoke Mills and Patterson Mills. The Roanoke Rapids Theatres manager defends a photo with film stars at a Charlotte convention. In 1940 a total of 13 606 pledged was raised by Industrial division and individuals, led by Rosemary Manufacturing and Halifax Paper, with notable contributions from R L Towe and H E Lee in the Special Gifts division.
