We Are Fighting for Freedom Not Territory

R H Tawney argues Britain fights to oppose a creed denying common men rights. He cites brutality by German forces, the Gestapo and concentration camps, and calls for dignity over subjugation, preferring death on our feet to life on our knees. A brief World War II era vignette follows of a bystander saving a drowning man and being thanked with five dollars. Also notes observers expect Japan to strike toward the South American Pacific coast as Hitler advances.
