Daly Area Couple Mark Golden Wedding Anniversary
Mr and Mrs Thos Batty of Chiliwack British Columbia and formerly of Daly celebrate their golden wedding. Married in Winnipeg in 1883, he ran a large Winnipeg bakery before moving to a Daly farm about twenty years ago then to Chilliwack in 1919. Local friends recall their long life together.

Bread of Life topic to lead United Church service Sunday
The United Church will focus on essential life values in a Sunday rally on the Bread of Life theme. The Sunday School rally featured hymns recitations and presentations with many earning Robert Raikes Diplomas for long attendance. Anniversary services are set for October 15 with Rev. W L T Patteson as speaker, and a fowl supper and concert is planned for Tuesday the 17th.

Pantomime Presents Babes in the Wood by Doreen Sisters
The Doreen Sisters and pupils staged Babes in the Wood last Thursday drawing a large crowd. The show featured a fairy, witch, clever dancers, a bashful comedian, and strong piano accompaniment by Edythe Mitchell. Arthur Fuller supplied comedy and the finale featured a bride and groom among a merry tableau.
