On Friday October 1 at the home of Mr and Mrs John Shanks in Lake side the oldest daughter Janette Burnett married George Robert Kite of Rivers son of G R Kite of Bath England. Rev H B Duckworth officiated with Mendelssohn march and a buffet luncheon followed. The couple will reside in Rivers and be at home after October 15 with plans to visit Winnipeg Dauphin and Lake Manitoba.

W E Miller nearly fell from a horse at Carnegie last Thursday night. Bery Marriott visited Bran don on Sunday. Carnegie residents visited the Rivers Fair on Friday. Relatives of J Marriott from Beresford came up on Sunday. Margaret Frank is returning to school to begin her first role.
