St Lawrence Route pilots record high season amid growing traffic
At the Quebec Licensed Ferrymen’s Association meeting the St Lawrence River between Quebec and Father Point reported 3 012 sailings in 1924 with pilots aboard every vessel. Ship size and draught grew, Canadian Pacific liners soon to strengthen 1925 traffic as pilgrims and tourists use the river for Europe trips beginning in May.
