A ministry of agriculture spokesman said Britain may sow crops from the air to repair havoc caused by recent severe floods. He cited high costs as a main objection but said the exceptional circumstances make aerial sowing worthwhile.

Mt Sinai Royal Arch Masons convocation honors Dr W Dalzell Grand Z of Portage la Prairie with grand officers and Brandon representation. Degree work and address pleased attendees.

Ottawa reports Canada’s per capita sugar use nears the pre war rate with officials stating 80 to 85 pounds yearly per person, down from 90 pounds and up from last year’s 71. The quarterly ration rose by eight pounds, with industrial quotas up 10 percent.
