Acres of Hope Harvest Event Near Rivers and Oak River
Fourth grade students from Rivers Elementary joined Ron Krahn’s harvest at a 125 acre canola field 1.5 miles north of Rivers on Highway 250. The event showcased seed identification and harvest machinery while Acres of Hope, a CFGB fundraiser, highlighted hunger relief efforts and recent donations. Oak River plot planned for harvest on Oct 8 with 22.4 bushels per acre yield noted as disappointing due to moisture.
