Manitoba girl Keegan Burt shines at StockFest four firsts
Keegan Burt aged 11 from Manitoba earned four firsts and two seconds at the third annual Manitoba 4-H StockFest held late last month at the Keystone Centre in Brandon. She won English equitation, equitation over fences, showmanship and keyhole speed, plus second in bareback equitation and pole. Burt, a Manitoba Gymkhana Rodeo Association member since seven, plans more shows and loves horses. Also competing were Katie Hunter and Molly Jay from Rivers and Brandon Ghost Riders respectively, with notable results in stall cards, pole bending, barrels, and senior showmanship events.
