CWB explores producer payment options vs. the Pool
The January PROs show wheat values up about 5 to 19 dollars per tonne from December with No. 1 Canadian red spring rising to 342 per tonne in-store, though net producer prices vary by freight and elevation. FPC and BPC contracts offer price locking while pool participation ties earnings to PRO outcomes. about 60 percent of pool priced so far. Delivery timing differences mean full payment timelines differ, and Series C contracts may apply for uncommitted wheat. Call 204-761-0267 for a free one month trial.
