Manitoba woodlot auction showcases local finished furniture
The Manitoba Agro Woodlot Program sponsored an auction drawing 350 attendees from across the province where 10,000 board feet of kiln dried hardwoods including bur oak birch black and green ash were sold in small lots. Wes Enns of Winkler bought 25 board feet of black ash consigned by Clint Nicolajsen and plans coffee tables or cabinets. The event aimed to promote locally produced furniture and expand markets for rural Manitoba woodworkers.
