Cops for cancer drives fund-razor across Canada
In June 1994 Rivers Police Sgt. Gary Goulet shaved with five year old Lyle, a cancer patient, to show support and start a fund raising drive. The project grew to a national event raising 12000 in 11 months for the Canadian Cancer Society. Const. Brian English plans to shave his head in September to gather pledges. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are tax receipted.
