Holland Man Joins Crusade of Mercy Drive
Frank A. Snyder assistant to the general superintendent of the South Chicago Works of the Illinois Steel Corporation has been loaned to the Crusade of Mercy of the Chicago Community Fund and American Red Cross for the campaign to raise 15 750 000. Snyder lives with his daughter Mrs Nancy Dee Schell at 761 E 147th St South Holland. He is a South Dakota native with a BS in electrical engineering from South Dakota College and belongs to several industry groups. He is one of 35 executives serving as administrative assistants to support in organizing meetings training solicitors volunteers and payroll deduction efforts for the drive.

Thornridge Students Hurt In Late Night Auto Crash
Two Thornridge students were injured in a Saturday night auto accident after a school sock hop. Robert Erga and Philip Stringer were involved when Stringer’s car was struck at State and Torrence in Burnham. Stringer had facial injuries and bruises while Erga, treated for internal injuries and possible concussion, was on the critical list but later reported improved. A third driver, Lowell Moomaz of Black Oak Indiana, could not stop in time and hit Stringer’s car. Erga is a Thornridge football player, with a recent 22 to 7 win over Homewood Flossmoor.
