The Churches announce Sunday services September 12 with German at 9 30 and English at 10 45. The sermon covers Luke 20 27 40 and the widow of Nain. Sunday School is postponed to September 19 due to school openings. no class on September 12.
St Marys Church at 310 East 187th Street lists Masses on Sunday at 7 00 9 00 and 11 00 a m. Rev John N Weiler pastor notes convenient hours offer everyone opportunity to attend. Service must be rendered to God and faithful attendance at Holy Mass provided weekly.
Immanuel Evangelical and Reformed Church at Grant and Sheridan Streets lists morning worship at 9 oclock in German, church school at 10, Divine service at 11, and catechetical instruction Saturdays 9 to 12. Workers meet Tuesday evening, choir rehearsal Thursday, and a Sunday school organized for all ages invites those without a home to attend.
Sunday schedule includes 9:45 church school and 11:00 worship with a sermon on The Achievement of Happiness. A 6:00 Hi League Rally at Academy Church Harvey features a Geneva Who meeting and league reports. Epworth League at 7:00 followed by an 8:00 Monday official board meeting to plan the new church year.
The school will not meet this Sunday September 12.

Dr. Harry J. Hager returns to Bethany Reformed Church in Roseland at 10 a m for Knowing God Better and 7 30 p m for One Holy Passion. Combined choirs sing both services and the Bethany Bible Broadcast airs at 4 30 p m on WWAE 1200 with questions about unanswered prayers.
The Lewis family of musicians missionaries and evangelists will conduct regular services at Open Bible Church 13562 Indiana Avenue Riverdale for a period. They come well recommended with zeal for souls and ministry. The Fencer Evening school will begin the fall semester next Monday night registrations will be taken tonight by school staff and administrators in preparation for the new term.
Beginning Monday September 13 the Dalton WPA library at Lincoln school shifts the Mrs Mabel Kamerman led story hour to 4 15 PM for forty minutes. All children are invited. Finishing touches are being put on by the redecorators. Summer circulation averaged 650, one of the district highs.
