Riverdale Board met at the village hall on a Wednesday evening. Alvin Wilkins was installed as clerk with a bouquet from admirers. Citizens complained of smoke. police chief to notify railroads and the Chas. Pope Beet sugar Works to stop the nuisance. Locomotive engineers asked to stop unnecessary whistle and bell ringing. The board instructed the clerk to notify railroads to curb the nuisance. The police chief suspended a village officer whose duty status was questioned. The Sanitary District Electric lighting rep outlined an estimated cost of $3,000 or more for a Riverdale electric system. A detailed cost statement was to be prepared. Attorney Reich said the Pennsylvania Railroad would lower culverts at Brandt farm as requested.
