Street paving debate for Indiana and Leyden Avenues
Riverdale property owners along Indiana and Leyden Avenues are invited to a May 18 hearing by the Chicago Board of Local Improvements. The plan calls for brick paving on a six inch concrete base at a total cost around 51,500, with residents facing high assessments. Critics urge concrete due to lower cost and better durability, noting prior concrete paving nearby and potential city funding help from Aldermen.
