Palmer Meyers Wed in Dalton First Methodist Ceremony
Audrey Verna Myers daughter of Rev and Mrs Myers and Harlan Baldwin Palmer son of Rev and Mrs Palmer were married at First Methodist Episcopal church Dalton on Monday June 20 at 8 pm. The service was officiated by the fathers. Bride wore white georgette with veil and lilies of the valley. Bridesmaids included Margaret Palmer and Beatrice Adams with Doris Myers as maid of honor. George D Morris served as best man. A flower girl was Betty Jean Nairn. Music by Eleanor Jones Beth Englehard and B D Jones. Afterward relatives gathered at the parsonage for refreshments. The couple, both educated at Colorado institutions, plan a summer motor tour east and will reside in Boulder Colorado in the fall.

Boy Hit By Truck In Narrow Escape At Leyden And 138th
William Steel Jr five year old son of Mr and Mrs William B Steel of Highlawn narrowly escaped death Friday evening after a truck from Hammond struck him at Leyden avenue and 138th street. Rushed to Dr Weidners office he suffered a deep forehead gash requiring stitches and faces several weeks of soreness yet his prognosis remains hopeful for full recovery.
