Reynoldswood camp to open June 7 near Dixon with nine sessions
Reynoldswood, owned by Rock River Camp Associates, begins its season June 7 at the 71 acre site on the west edge of Dixon. The camp includes an English lodge for 50 guests, a summer retreat house, pools, tennis, showers, and two tent areas with caretakers. Membership by Methodist laymen financed the purchase from the Seventh Day Adventist Church in 1958 for 106000, with a 200000 property value, half loaned to the camp and half mortgaged with Dixon National Bank. The nonprofit corporation operates the campsite for religious use under the Rock River Conference and plans to serve Christian youth and adults.
