The Dorchester Club in Dalton begins bus service on June 1 connecting 154th Street and Dorchester Avenue to Illinois Central Station at Sibley Boulevard in Harvey. Rush hour trips run west to Cottage Grove then to Sibley and IC station with returns. Tickets sold at Dorchester Club, Draper and Kramer, Meadow Lane Homes offices, or at 15203 Woodlawn Ave. Commuters must buy tickets since the Commerce Commission franchise is not issued yet. Woman's Relief Corps To Meet Friday
The Woman's Relief Corps G W Spencer No 279 will gather Friday June 5 at 2 pm with Esther Peacock presiding. Members will sew cancer pads at the village hall starting 7 19 am. Hostesses Marge Martin and Sophia Kramer. Pins for 25 years' membership awarded to eight members. Five year bars given to four members. Corps members marched in Memorial Day parade and wreath laid by Senior VP Jennie Dahike.
