Death follows lake accident of Calumet City youth
Claude Finneran 18 son of State Representative Martin H. Finneran died after a July 7 diving accident at Cedar Lake Indiana. He suffered a broken neck, underwent surgery in Chicago, and died Monday night. He studied at the University of Illinois, worked at Daily Illinois, and was a Kappa Phi Sigma member. Funeral services were held at St Victor's Calumet City with interment in Hammond.

Henry F. W. Schultz, president of the Lansing State bank, owns a 75 acre tract southwest of the Pennsylvania tracks in Lansing. The land, inherited from his father, is being developed by Grover C. Coil into a subdivision with 100 houses, water, sewer and paving. Schultz Park will be created at its center with a $45,000 community building by Walker & Angell, a swimming pool and tennis courts.
