Riverdale Man Is Appointed Heart Fund Drive Chairman

George A. Watling of 14117 South Dearborn Street Riverdale is named Riverdale chairman of the Chicago Heart Association 1952 Heart Fund Drive. The campaign aims to raise 600000 in the Chicago area through research education and service with February peak. He is a longtime civic volunteer active with International Harvester Riverdale Civic Club Boy Scouts Izaak Walton League and several local groups.

Ivanhoe Woman's Club Seeks Donations for Oak Forest

The Occupational Therapy department of the Ivanhoe Woman's Club led by Mrs. Kenneth Hennigar calls for wearing apparel and craft materials to support Oak Forest programs. Donations may be dropped or picked up by calling Riverdale 1227. A Valentine Party is planned for February 14 with refreshments and small gifts for attendees.

Ivanhoe Reformed Church welcomed new members at the January 27 morning service. Willard Paggi, Stanley Crane, and C A Eldrenkamp with daughter Marie joined from Park Forest South Holland and Ivanhoe. A youth choir debuted under temporary director Mrs John Muir, with organist Miss June A Roads. First youth rally was January 28 with eight Calumet Division churches, featuring Ruth Black as soloist. Plans for a Cub Scout pack were announced for February 3 with eligible youngsters to wear uniforms. Plan a visit next Sunday February 142nd at Wabash.
