Born January 2 1866 in South Holland she lived at 120567 Lafayette Ave Chicago and formerly resided in Phoenix Illinois and Canada. She leaves seven children twenty five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at Bethany Reformed church in Roseland.

Fire Destroys Lansing Church After Five-Hour Blaze
An 84 year old Lansing Reformed church was razed in a five hour fire starting shortly after 1 am Wednesday. Firemen from Lansing Munster and Calumet City battled the flames and prevented spread to nearby homes. Damage is estimated at 25000 dollars. The blaze origin remains unknown.

Local boy struck by car in icy intersection
John Kiel was hit at 158th and South Park Avenue by a car driven by Clarence Tatge of South Holland. Ice on the road prevented a quick stop. Kiel was taken to the hospital with no serious injuries reported.

Vehicle licenses for 1945 are now on sale in South Holland at the collector's office in the village hall. Hours are Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Tuesday evening 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Passenger cars cost $2.00 and trucks $3.00 up to February 1. From February 1 fees rise 50 cents per month.
