Death of Frank Bergold in Riverdale News
The sudden death of Frank O Bergold on Friday January 18 occurred after he fainted while entering the Pohlers and Stahnke garage. A blood clot caused his death. He was born September 30 1881 in Riverdale and married Minnie Buggert in 1908. He served as Riverdale village clerk eight years and managed the A P store before buying a deli in Chicago street. He leaves wife Minnie four children two brothers and two sisters. Interment was at Oaklawn cemetery Thornton with Odd Fellows in charge.

Dr L J Hammers a prominent Goodland Kansas physician died January 18 after a heart ailment following an illness of just over a week His wife Minnie Berger survives with a daughter Lois Erickson of Des Moines Iowa three brothers Emerald Decatur Til Charles El Paso Ill Ralph Harvey and a sister Laura Nelson of Des Moines Iowa Also his mother in law Mrs Margaret Berger and her family He was born near El Paso Illinois in 1877 An Illinois University trained physician he lived in Lexington Michigan before moving to Goodland Kansas in 1927 He resumed practice there after a California sojourn A short Masonic service was held in Goodland The funeral was at the Berger home with Rev Vance Chicago and Rev Schneider Sandridge M E church Interment was at Oakland cemetery Friends from Lexington Chicago and nearby attended

Mrs Mary Robbins Postmistress Dies At 65
Mrs Mary Robbins longtime Glenwood postmistress died January 13 from a heart ailment at 65. A resident for 35 years she is survived by two daughters Mrs George F Garren of Oak Park and Miss Juanita Robbins two sons Kenneth and Donald three brothers and three sisters. Her husband George Robbins died in 1933. Funeral services were held at the residence and First Methodist church of Thornton with interment at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
