Burglary reported at Richard Fritsche tavern on Lincoln
Robbery occurred early Monday between 2:10 am and daylight with the burglar prying a side window then opening a cash drawer and stealing eighty seven dollars in cash and a case of liquor valued at twenty two dollars. Police believe the intruder acted alone and knew the building well.

Recreation project near Riverdale to become major Cook County center
Workers from 152 W P A laborers and 1 GCM crew resumed the Kickapoo Tract site near Halsted and 148th to create one of Cook county’s largest sport and picnic areas. The 70 acre tract will include seven baseball fields two gridirons two parking areas and extensive tiling and drainage. CCC boys under William Carroll will handle large portions of the work with completion targeted after about three years.
