Boy Finds Gun Amid Snow Drift in Riverdale Case Mystery
A boy named Johnny VanRossen spotted a large calibre revolver near West 188th street and Tracey avenue. A passing car with a policeman removed cartridges and two drivers debated jurisdiction while Riverdale police linked the gun to the late Valeria Tymus, a 17 year old found shot on West 138th street. The weapon’s possession and any connection to her murder remain unsolved after a coroner's inquest.

Public Health notes describe classes for grades 6 to 8 at Lincoln Avenue School with instruction in Home Hygiene and care of the sick. Little Girl Belle Mary Haney Dies After Short Illness
