South Park Boulevard Extension Proposed By Roseland Citizens
The Roseland and South Shore districts led a Polish Citizens committee to petition the Chicago Plan Commission to widen the South Park boulevard to 200 feet from Washington Park to 130th Street. They argue the widening will relieve traffic congestion and economic losses in the Roseland area. Eugene Taylor of the Plan Commission said the proposal would be considered at the next meeting.
