Dolton Branch High School Plans Enrollment Meeting

Dolton Branch High School will host a September 2 enrollment discussion at the Chicago Street school from 1 30 to 4 00 pm. Miss Salker will meet with parents and students to review next year’s program and collect enrollments. A young man teacher will join as a teacher and head of boys athletics.

Two Teens Die in Forest Preserve Swim Tragedy

Miss Anna Seco 17 is recovering after attempting to rescue her friend Miss Mary Stok 18346 Buffalo Avenue who drowned at the Forest Preserve clay hole near Calumet City. Stok's body was recovered after Seco was dragged unconscious from the water amid witnesses.

Henry Gundaker sold his soft drink parlor in the Claussen building to Louis and Henry Albrecht who have taken possession. Gundaker family will stay with daughter and son in law the Schnoors for the winter as Gundaker recovers from surgery. Riverdale Plans Sewer System and Outlet in Old Village

The Riverdale Board and local improvements board discussed sewer plans for the village area bounded by the Illinois Central to the west and Indiana avenue to the east, Calumet River to the north, and the S. H. B. railroad to the south. An outlet for the new subdivision along 138th Street is urged, with plans and an estimate to be submitted by the village engineer. The action follows years of incomplete consideration and aims to revitalize the older section.

Legion Carnival Sparks Gratitude and Plans for Joliet Trip
