Train dispatcher E C Fogarty dies after Monon trip
Edward C Fogarty, 64, a train dispatcher for the B and O C T at Barr yards in Blue Island, fell ill on a Monon train returning from Indianapolis and died that night after being moved to a friend’s home in Hammond. He resided with the Zimmer family for 35 years and leaves a father, five sisters and one brother. Remains sent to Indianapolis for burial.
