The Board of Local Improvements of Riverdale Illinois recommends an ordinance to construct a connected system of cast iron water mains with hydrants valves and appurtenances across streets and alleys. The proposal includes eight and six inch pipes eight hydrants two 8x8 inch tees and four 6x6 inch tees with detailed weights and testing requirements. An estimated cost of 7900 dollars is itemized for pipe fittings valves and engineering with a public hearing set for April 10 1926.
An ordinance authorizes a local improvement in Riverdale Cook County Illinois to install eight inch cast iron water mains with hydrants valves tees and reducers along Atlantic Street Wentworth Avenue and adjacent alleys. The project includes special castings and a water district boundary from Wentworth to School Street and 188th Street to 187th Street with specific hydrant locations valve boxes and testing standards. Citizens within the district gain right to connect water service pipes and benefit from the new supply lines.
