Riverdale district No 183 has Louis E Reich unopposed for a three year term. Thornton township trustees and high school board also on ballot with candidates John Harms Jr George H Gibson Walter Haines and others. Polls open noon to seven at Lincoln and Washington schools with Riverdale voters at Bowen.

Man Leaps From Bridge Then Swims Ashore
Adolph Mohr of 241 East 136th Street attempted suicide by leaping from the Calumet river bridge at Indiana Avenue Friday after 1 pm. He changed his mind, swam to shore aided by his brother in law Alfred Deckman and Officer Hans Struven, was taken to Riverdale village hall, and cited despair over health and domestic troubles.
