Durham school board hears push for change in transportation
Durham School Services faced questions about safety and driver shortages as board members heard Fred Martinez present for 15 minutes on a stalled contract with the local drivers union. Union asks for a five percent raise while mediation continues with Durham, and board members urged cooperation and possibly considering alternative transportation if negotiations fail.
