Orion Murphy family lives by Friday Night Lights
John and Susanna Murphy of Rio Rancho recall their son Orion, a Rio Rancho High senior quarterback, who suffered a broken collarbone last Friday. He rushed for 100 yards, threw a TD, and scored another before injury, plans a 4-6 week recovery, and remains team focused while offering pep talks. The couple met as teens, married after Penn State years, and moved to New Mexico where Susanna advanced in education and John works in real estate. The family cherishes Orion’s teamwork and a summer lifesaving moment at Rainbow Pool and a Naval Academy seminar experience.
