Coach Phil Rios Balances County Work and Youth Football
Sandoval County Public Works director Phil Rios oversees 1,528 miles of roads by day and coaches nine year olds in the New Mexico Young American Football League by weekend. His North Rams stand 3-1 as he juggles 12 weekly hours with a focus on fundamentals and character over wins. He aims to coach as long as it remains fun and meaningful, planning football into his retirement dreams.
