Rio Rancho High School will stage its annual homecoming parade on Monday Sept 13 at 6 p.m. with the Hollywood theme. The 1.5 mile route runs from the Sports Complex parking lot along High Resort to Broadmoor then Loma Colorado and back to the high school. Contact Susan McConnell at 896 5637.
City plans a formal process to select a city administrator with a ranking committee from three to five top candidates, appointing by the mayor subject to council confirmation. If rejected, future mayoral picks must come from the qualified list. Six applications are on hand though the post has not been publicly advertised yet.
Rio Rancho Raley’s Supermarket opened in Hilston Plaza on a wave of enthusiasm after Albertson’s and American Stores merged. Store director John Bagley noted a smooth launch, new Best Yet house brands, and exciting changes especially in produce. Grand opening events run for a week with giveaways and prizes.
