Residents prize dolls and cattle in Rio Rancho fair wins
Linda Bassi fills her Rio Rancho home with hundreds of antique dolls dating to the 1800s and showing at the New Mexico State Fair where she earned eight blue ribbons and Best of Show for a bisque Emile Jumeau doll. Jessica Cacy, an 11 year old from Rio Rancho, shows prize winning Limousin cattle on her grandparents' Portales ranch earning Grand Champion and Reserve titles. She handles halter training and grooming, facing a temperamental bull but remains devoted to her stock.
