Republican candidate Doug Wood secured a second major endorsement Thursday night from the Rio Rancho Department of Public Safety and Dispatcher Association as he runs against Democratic undersheriff Tim Lucero. The endorsement followed prior support from the Sandoval County Deputies Association and prior sheriffs Burt De Lara and Ray Rivera, with this marked as a rare union backing in the county race.

Jennifer Dugan deposited 1125 dollars at Wells Fargo in Rio Rancho and waited a week and a half before the money appeared. She says calls were not returned, claims were filed, and after multiple checks the funds vanished and the branch later advised her to demand payment. Her husband retrieved funds at a different branch and closed the account. She worries about seniors at the same branch and calls for accountability.
