County Clerk Sally Padigig urges those already voting absentee to treat the extra ballot as an extension. Ballots must arrive by 5 p.m. November 5 at the Bernalillo county courthouse. Politicians Pauline Eisenstadt and Don Doeneh express concerns about disenfranchisement and lower turnout. The state election bureau notes turnout around 15 percent for the special elections.
