Bernalillo Receives $543,610 HUD Grant for Upgrades

Bernalillo housing authority to modernize 76 units on Don Tomas and Banco streets with HUD funds of 543,610 dollars. Interior painting, furnaces, water heaters, appliances, and tiles planned. 65 water heaters may be purchased. Units built in 1972 include one to four bedroom configurations. Elderly or disabled individuals only in single occupancy.

Acoma Pueblo artist Benedict Michael Chino will display pottery and kachinas at Grandma's Attic next to Smith's in Rio Rancho on Oct. 8. Chino, now based in Rio Rancho, is noted for his Acoma Pueblo artistry in a regionally featured exhibit.
