Sandoval County to improve soccer fields operations and funding

Sandoval County Commissioner Tom Sutisstack notes a water line break at the Southern Sandoval Sports Complex turned grass brown in spots. Los Patios, the contractor, says repairs are complete with limited grass damage and a season-long color loss only. The county signs a joint powers agreement for field booking and maintenance. Rio Rancho may join soon. A county staffer will coordinate bookings and field use guidelines are drafted. If Rio Rancho delays, Sandoval will run its own recreation plan to avoid repeats. Residents praised and suggested improvements were acknowledged.
