Thanksgiving prayer on immigration and native history
A personal reflection argues for humane immigration limits while honoring Native Americans and ancestors. The author cites 1867 Swedish immigrant work on railroads, 1908 New Mexico homestead entries, and 1950 Truman era refugee ideas, urging support for legal newcomers who contribute and a stop to generational wealth depletion by open borders. The piece frames Thanksgiving as a time to face history honestly and advocate responsible policy.
