The Traffic Safety Bureau led by John Fenner outlines winter driving hazards and prep steps. The Aba Fran ciscan and Indian ruins ten miles west of Mountainair on U S Highway 60 will welcome visitors starting Saturday November 19 after a long public closure since 1975. The site, part of Salinas National Monument, has undergone emergency stabilization funded by Park Rehabilitation and Improvement Program and will operate year round from 9 am to 5 pm with a self guided trail and an orientation center at Mountinair.
UNM women artists launch a juried show titled Daily Bread Art from Female Experience 1983 at the Lower Gallery of the Albuquerque Public Library November 26 to December 23 with a 40 page publication and film program. Entries due by October 28, 50 works selected by jurors Jane Abrats Linda Durham and Janne Quick-to-See Smith.
The Administrator of the Small Business Administration announces a poster design contest for Small Business Week. A $2,000 contract will go to the winner for final design and preparation. Theme is Small Business Means Jobs, with events May through May 12, 1984.
