Abo Indian ruins reopen to public after 1975 closure
The Aba Fran ciscan and Indian ruins ten miles west of Mountainair on U S Highway 60 will welcome visitors starting Saturday November 19 after a long public closure since 1975. The site, part of Salinas National Monument, has undergone emergency stabilization funded by Park Rehabilitation and Improvement Program and will operate year round from 9 am to 5 pm with a self guided trail and an orientation center at Mountinair.
