Twinkle Light Parade Shines in Rio Rancho Saturday
Santa Claus returns for the eighth annual Twinkle Light Parade with 70 entries including floats and bands lighting up Rio Rancho. The 5:30 p.m. start on Southern Boulevard runs to First State Bank with post parade entertainment and Santa photo ops. Residents along Sara and Grande urged to decorate for a $100 best house prize and a $50 second prize.

James Jimenez, longtime state budget official and deputy secretary of the New Mexico DFA, will become Rio Rancho’s finance director on Dec 11 replacing Gene Waite who resigned in August.
