Rio Rancho United Water deal ruled void by state Supreme Court
The New Mexico Supreme Court voided the Rio Rancho United Water purchase agreement valued around 73 million dollars after a missed deadline. The ruling may force renegotiation or action in District Court to set a new price. The PUC had opposed abandoning service and favored continuing operation by United Water to avoid higher city rates.
