Mayfield visits for Storms first postseason game
Cleveland High School hosts Mayfield in a state quarterfinal as the 9-1 Storm aim to advance after clinching the District 1-5A title with a 27-7 win over Rio Rancho. The No 11 Rams travel to Cleveland Stadium for a 7 p.m. kickoff, with tickets selling at the CHS athletic office and online. Mayfield’s defense and compact, multi formation offense face a resilient Trojans unit led by Cole Gautsche. The winner advances to play No 2 La Cueva or No 10 Clovis in the semifinals. Holorado, Las Cruces, Carlsbad, and others compete in other quarterfinals. The broadcast will be on ESPN Radio 101.7-8FM with Mike Roberts and David Williams.
