MLK Elementary odor abates after extended APS sewer work
Crews completed final adjustments at Martin Luther King Jr Elementary School to end months of a sewer odor. Albuquerque Public Schools had tied the septic tank to the city sewer and extended a vent and tank upgrades to reduce the smell that troubled portable classrooms and the field, with NM Environment Department noting no health hazard.
